SCOPE Charity Ride
Dream Street

Each year that the SCOPE poker run is held, a local charity is chosen by SCOPE to contribute a large cash donation.  This year's charity is again in association with the "Friend of the Long Beach Fire Fighters" group. The biggest part of this charity event (according to the kids) is also a boat ride!

The recipient of the charity contribution this year is Dream Street Foundation. This worthy foundation provides unique camping and support programs for children and young adults with life threatening and chronic illnesses free of charge.

Founded in 1988 as a non-profit organization, Dream Street has an all volunteer staff and no paid salaries. They annually provide over 700 children the means to enjoy activities that they normally would be restricted from due to their illness.

SCOPE appreciates each and every member that helped to do the Friday charity event, boat rides, lunch and all the generosity shown. All you have to do is look at the smiles here to see that it really, really makes a difference.  Here is quick video montage on YOU TUBE.
